Can you share your journey into becoming a sexologist and relationship coach, and what inspired you to pursue this path?
My path to becoming a sexologist and relationship coach began after a serious skiing accident in 2015. This experience led to the end of my 20-year marriage and also challenged me to find resilience and a desire for change. It transformed my life, leading me to pursue relationship coaching and NLP certification. I realized my purpose was to help others overcome emotional barriers and find real connections, especially high achievers who often struggle with love due to their demanding lifestyles and inner struggles. Today, my mission is to help people find hope in love and experience deep, fulfilling relationships without settling for less.
How do you integrate various aspects of a person’s life into your coaching sessions to maintain a holistic approach?
I believe relationships are deeply interconnected with all areas of life, so I work with clients to see how their career, health, and family dynamics impact their love life. For high achievers, this often means finding a balanced approach—helping them move from a goal-oriented “guarded” mentality to a more authentic, open-hearted way of building relationships. By addressing these aspects together, we create a love life that complements their entire self.
How do you utilize NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) techniques in your coaching to enhance relationship dynamics?
NLP combined with root cause coaching and somatic energy release creates powerful transformation. This integrated approach helps clients identify and heal core wounds while releasing stored emotional trauma from their bodies. Through techniques like “anchoring” for emotional regulation and somatic release for processing old patterns, clients can shift their mindset and create space for genuine connections.
What are some of the most common challenges you encounter in your practice, and how do you help clients overcome them?
High achievers often struggle with relationships because they’re used to controlling outcomes. A major challenge is shifting the belief that their struggles are purely external – blaming dating apps or lack of good partners. While these platforms can be challenging, the real blocks are often internal. I guide them to embrace vulnerability and examine their own patterns, creating a safe space to process experiences and transform their approach to love.
How would you outline a treatment plan for couples experiencing mismatched sexual desires? What steps do you take to facilitate open communication between partners?
With couples facing mismatched desires, we focus on rebuilding trust and communication through multiple channels. Beyond physical intimacy, we incorporate love notes, surprise date nights, and special rituals. Regular check-ins and tantric practices help deepen their connection. The key is creating various touchpoints throughout their daily lives – whether through meaningful conversations, shared activities, or small gestures that rekindle their emotional bond.
How do you approach sensitive issues such as sexual trauma in your practice? What strategies do you employ to create a safe space for clients?
When addressing sexual trauma, creating safety and trust is my top priority. I start slowly, letting clients set the pace and when deemed necessary, I refer the clients to a trained trauma specialist. If ready, I use NLP techniques including somatic release to reframe triggers and reconnect with their bodies. My goal is to help clients feel safe and empowered, knowing they can heal and build healthy, supportive relationships.
What key advice would you offer to couples looking to strengthen their relationship and enhance intimacy?
Make time for true presence. I encourage couples to dedicate “tech-free” time each week, focusing fully on each other without distractions. Love flourishes when you clear your path, honor your individuality, and build connection with patience and purpose. Take time to really know each other and what makes you tick so you know how to make your partner happy and how to compromise. Also, clear communication and small gestures of appreciation also go a long way. By consistently nurturing their connection, couples can build a relationship that stays vibrant and fulfilling over time.
For singles who feel stuck in a cycle of unfulfilling relationships or dating app burnout, what guidance do you offer to help them find authentic connections?
I help clients understand that wearing protective armor – while it may have served them well in their career – is actually blocking their path to love. Many high achievers over 40 have built such solid layers of protection that it’s preventing love from flowing both ways. I experienced this myself after my 20-year marriage ended. It wasn’t until I started tearing down my armor and embracing vulnerability that I met my amazing partner – now 7 years strong!
Through my Path2Love Compass approach, I guide clients to face their fears, shed protective identities, and trust their intuition again. The transformation happens when they realize finding love isn’t about compromising who they are – it’s about clearing the internal blocks that have been preventing love from naturally entering their lives.
In your opinion, what trends or changes do you foresee in the field of sexual health and relationship coaching over the next few years?
I expect relationship coaching to become more integrative, blending mental, physical, and relational health. While digital tools will expand access, there will also be a demand for in-person coaching and a movement away from dating apps, as people seek real-life connections in an increasingly virtual world. Trauma-informed approaches will continue to grow as more clients seek healing from past experiences to build healthier relationships.
