  • Use a Soft-Bristled Toothbrush: Compared to using hard bristles, these ones are more gentle on your gums, and because they are flexible, they can make cleaning around your brackets and wires easier.
  • Brush for Two Minutes: Make sure you cover all surfaces of your teeth and braces and brush them equally as long as the other. Also, make sure to go in an up-and-down motion as well as a roundabout motion so you can make sure that you cover every inch of space.

Flossing

  • Use Floss Threaders: These are special tools that dentists recommend to help you floss even when you have braces because they can help you get under the wires and achieve a nice and clean floss.
  • Floss Once a Day: Similar to brushing your teeth, these can help you avoid build-up in your teeth, which will lead to even more issues along the way, so make sure to never forget it!
