Blood Clotting: maybe the reason behind long COVID syndrome

Researchers from RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Ireland conducted a study, which tested 50 patients with symptoms of prolonged COVID syndrome to better understand if abnormal blood clotting is involved in the disease.

The study that was conducted showed patients with prolonged COVID syndrome continued to have high measures of Sample clotting, which may help explain their incessant symptoms, such as fatigue and reduced physical fitness.

While the lethal clotting has been detected in patients with acute COVID-19, far less is known about Long COVID syndrome, where symptoms can last from weeks to months after the first infection is treated and is estimated to affect millions of people worldwide.
