Care Plus Group, a prominent healthcare provider supporting individuals across North East Lincolnshire, has officially opened its new hub at Westgate Park, Grimsby. The facility, strategically located alongside the A180, was inaugurated on Thursday, September 5, and will serve as the organisation’s central base for staff, services, and partner organizations. Additionally, the site is equipped with modern training facilities to support the group’s expanding services.
Alongside this, Care Plus Group has also re-launched The Val Waterhouse Centre on Kent Street, Grimsby, as one of its key service delivery hubs. The centre houses a variety of services, including the Adult Neurodiversity Service, Employability Services, Continence Service, and the Hope Specialist Service, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to community health.
Jane Miller, Chief Executive of Care Plus Group, expressed her pride in the new facilities: “We are extremely proud to have officially opened Westgate Park and re-launched The Val Waterhouse Centre. Westgate Park is a landmark facility in North East Lincolnshire, and we have worked diligently with local contractors to refurbish the building into a high-quality facility that serves as a key asset for the community.”
She further highlighted the significance of the development for the organisation’s operations: “As a local provider of community health and social care services, employing over 850 members of staff, we are delighted to use Westgate Park and The Val Waterhouse Centre as bases for our services. The purchase of Westgate Park has enabled us to co-locate services, fostering better integration and enhancing our health and care offerings for residents.”
Miller noted the importance of this expansion in serving the community more efficiently: “This move provides us with a key presence in both the East and West Marsh communities. The development will also support the growth of our services, ultimately benefiting those in need across North East Lincolnshire.”
