Please brief our audience about the center. Kindly tell us the source of inspiration for venturing into the Rehabilitation niche.

Core Recovery provides integrated behavioral health services that meet the needs of the patients we serve. Our staff of professionals provides evidenced based care that increases treatment outcomes in an outpatient setting. All Core staff is inspired to serve the mental health community, reduce the suffering so many individuals struggle with daily, and support them in a compassionate recovery environment.

Kindly brief us about yourself and shed some light on your journey at the center.

My name is Heather Peltier and I have been helping organizations reach their true potential for over 30 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. I strive to understand the interdisciplinary approach to management and directorship. My journey to becoming the Chief Executive Officer at Core Recovery is the culmination of a wide range of experience in various industries.

However, at Core Recovery, I can live out my true passion by serving the community and helping people overcome obstacles that prevent them from living full and happy lives. I adhere to a servant leadership style that helps me to assist the team in all aspects of company operations, from clinical to administrative. My leadership style allows me to quickly assess situations and leverage the team to create a safe and welcoming environment along with top-quality patient care.

Like so many of us Arizonans, I moved from the midwest in 1990. I love to entertain my family and friends and spend time with my husband of 20 years, my two teenage daughters, and of course, my Shih- Poo.

Core Recovery provides integrated mental health services by compassionate professionals who collaborate in using evidence-based treatment services to meet the needs of our patients. Our team of professionals provides intake assessment, treatment planning, case management, medication management, and group, individual, and family counseling. They work together to provide the highest quality of patient care.

Our integrated care model brings together a team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Counsellors, Case Managers, and Behavioral Health Technicians to create a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan for each patient. For patients in need of medication management, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners work to identify the underlying diagnosis and create a medication management plan to meet the unique psychiatric needs of each patient.

Our counselors work alongside psychiatric nurse practitioners and integrate counseling services that provide evidenced-based therapies using group, individual, and family counseling to increase patient treatment outcomes. Case managers and behavioral health technicians provide an extra level of support for patients in need of daily care to ensure the highest quality of services are delivered.

What is your opinion on the rehabilitation organizations aligning their offerings with newer technological developments, especially when it comes to catering to the dynamic needs of the healthcare space?

Core Recovery utilizes technology to provide current training and certifications for all staff. In addition, our Electronic Health Records system supports professional collaboration, and effective communication and ensures patient confidentiality is protected securely.

Being an industry expert, would you like to advise the budding entrepreneurs and enthusiasts aspiring to venture into the rehabilitation space that you are catering to?

The behavioral health industry needs servant leaders that are passionate about meeting the needs of the communities they serve. Although the behavioral health industry has its challenges there is nothing more rewarding than helping individuals heal.

How do you envision scaling your organization’s services and operations in 2023 and beyond?

We have opened a second location in Surprise (12691 W Smokey Dr. Ste. 127) where we will be able to serve more people in need of mental health, addiction, and trauma services. We would like to continue to grow throughout the valley to serve mental health populations.
