The number of Covid-19 patients raised up to 900 on Monday, in Alabama hospitals. On Monday, there were 947 Covid-19 cases in state hospitals up from 204 cases at the beginning of July.
Alabama’s State Health Officer Dr Scott Harris said, “It is the perfect storm of large number of unvaccinated people and the delta variant which is highly infectious and much more transmissible than anything we saw before.”
Health officials said that the latest spike is linked with delta variant, which is exploiting low immunization rate.
