Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), one of the largest hospitals of UAE, and Mayo Clinic and a joint-venture partnership between Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), founded a new state-of-the-art, Biplane Angio Suite for the identification and cure of ischemic strokes.
This innovative service will cover a large geographical area of the emirate of Abu Dhabi and will offer a crucial life-saving procedure that will considerably reduce the long-term or permanent harmful effects of stroke.
SSMC’s Chair of the Division of Interventional Neuroradiology, Dr Aiman Quateen said that they are extremely thrilled to have installed the new suite within the Neuroradiology Department, which will be immensely useful in delivering faster quality stroke care, and therefore, significantly improving patient outcomes.
