After the surge in Covid-19 cases driven by delta variant and vaccine uncertainty, growth in Covid-19 cases has increased. Dr Rochelle Walensky, Director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says, “This is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated.” More than 97% of people who are admitted in the hospital are not vaccinated, said Dr Walensky.
US Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy said, “getting people vaccinated as soon as possible is our fastest, and most effective way out of this pandemic.” He also said that 99% of deaths are of those people who are not vaccinated.
