By focusing on quality talent acquisition and seamless integration with clients’ operations, RTS empowers healthcare providers to enhance efficiency and drive cost savings in their billing processes.
Let’s dive into the interview and explore how Remote Team Solutions is transforming the medical billing sector!
Pedro, could you tell us about your journey and the origin of Remote Team Solutions and how it has evolved to become a key player in the medical billing solutions space?
I had always wanted to build great businesses, but in my opinion, the most important thing is the people, which is one of the main reasons why I wanted to start Remote Team Solutions. Long before I started up Remote Team Solutions to characterize and define what a business is achievement, I quickly understood that all signs indicate that the right team matters, and I wanted to help businesses find such talented people while generating substantial cost savings. RTS was formed to fulfil the staffing requirements, and we established operations in Mexico for its geographical closeness, same time zone, cultural similarities, and ample pool of willing workers. Our business model and excellent Talent Acquisition team has helped us become a key player in medical billing solutions.
As the CEO of Remote Team Solutions, what is your vision for the company in the medical billing sector?
I want Remote Team Solutions to contribute to the success of great companies by building their best remote teams; while making our clients and their team part of the RTS Family. We want to build partnerships that last and in which our teams are completely embedded in the client’s internal teams to win competitiveness by offering a range of interpersonal, technological and human resources.
What sets Remote Team Solutions apart from other medical billing solution providers?
What really distinguishes us is the quality of our people, our excellent service and values, and the location, which allows us to have the same time zone and similar culture which improves communication and collaboration.
Medical billing is a critical aspect of healthcare operations. How is Remote Team Solutions addressing the challenges that healthcare providers face in managing billing and claims efficiently?
To tackle these issues, head on, we have assigned a focused, efficient and skilled workforce which is managed by our own clients. Our team and IT Equipment acts like an extension of our client’s team, working under our client policies and protocols.
With the rise of digitalization in healthcare, how is Remote Team Solutions integrating advanced technologies like automation and AI into your billing solutions?
Our business model allows our employees to work using technology or our clients. As the employees become an extension of our client’s team, they work under our client policies, process and using the client’s own system. This approach allows the Remoties (how we call our staff) to fully be part of our clients’ team and act as an extension of them.
What do you believe are the biggest trends reshaping the medical billing industry in 2024?
According to the vision for 2024 a couple of or even more important trends that one may notice in the changes of the healthcare industry are automation increase, AI analytics and the shift towards more transparent billing. In light of the above changes, however, there is a big demand in the market for cheaper, faster billing systems that are comprehensive in nature with little or no revenue leakage because of human errors. In addition, they are effective in compliance, owing to the stringent nature of the healthcare industry.
As a leader in the medical billing sector, what do you think are the key challenges that healthcare organizations need to overcome to streamline their billing processes?
The most serious challenge to the healthcare entities, which stands out among others, is that of billing – it involves compliance with numerous policies, changes in coding as well as specific requirements of each payer. Actual realization of all those expenditures and working planning will be easier said than done, and this may result in payment normal delays. Further adding to the complexity is the fragmentation of systems responsible for the provision of health and billing services, where the interchange of information is usually not as effective. The third major challenge is concerned with people management issues; training and retaining workers is key since billing is a skill dependent process hence higher turnover causes inefficiency. Finally, claim denials and rejections continue to be a nightmare for any organization, and requires good preventive measures to handle as well as experience to aid in the resolution of these issues.
Looking to the future, what are your growth plans for Remote Team Solutions?
We are committed to continually enhancing the value we provide to our clients by expanding our range of value-added services and pursuing key industry certifications. Our goal is to sustain our strong growth trajectory, aiming for consistent double-digit growth while further solidifying our position as Mexico’s number 1 nearshore staffing firm.
At Remote Team Solutions, one of the factors that contributes to our success is the dedication to creating a workplace that is engaging and satisfying for the staff. These people-oriented practices have been helpful in reducing attrition rates and offering quality assistance to the clients. Additionally, we think that clients benefit significantly from our nearshore model which enables them to be closer to their teams. This proximity, together with cultural fit and bilingualism, enables us to deliver the quality of healthcare services that providers require in the current competitive environment.
