The weekly COVID-19 Epidemiological report suggests a decline in the overall cases and fatalities globally compared to the week before that.
From September 20-26 the department reported a total of 3.3 million new cases and over 55,000 new deaths, which is 10 percent less compared to the previous week’s report.
The World Health Organization (WHO) says that the deaths and new cases have continued to decrease since the past two months in the South-East Asian region.
An overall 15 percent decline in the number of new deaths and cases were shown for all regions except for the European Region and the African Region.
