Vaccine
Is it possible to live forever, being immortal? Japanese scientists are claiming that they have found the answer to the above question. And it is in affirmative. The Japanese researchers are saying that they might have taken the world’s first tiny step towards the goal of immortality by successfully trialing a vaccine targeted against the cells which contribute to growing us old or in our process of aging.
The cells in question are senescent cells, and when their protein was targeted with a clinical drug developed in a laboratory, they stopped their natural reproduction, slowing the progression of fragility in older rats. The discovery was revealed by scientists working in Tokyo’s Juntendo University. The vaccine was also successfully trialed on senescent cells in blood vessels and fatty tissues, showing a positive impact on several other medical conditions connected to aging.
