As reported by the health ministry on Tuesday, France plans to give the booster shot of COVID-19 vaccination to nearly 18 million people by early 2022.
This booster will be administered to people over the age of 65 and those with comorbidities.Official data indicates that almost 72% of the French population has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination as of August 30. More than 65% of the population has received the second dose of vaccination or one dose after contracting the COVID-19 virus.
However, there is no consensus among the agencies and scientists that whether or not the booster shot of COVID-19 vaccination is necessary.
