A new virus born from mosquito named Zika Virus has been detected. A pregnant lady from Thiruvananthapuram is found infected by this Virus. The lady showed symptoms of headache, fever and rashes over the body. 19 Other people were found with same symptoms.
Though the disease is not life threatening, the health department has issued an alert across the state. The lady is under observation and getting treated in a private hospital. The symptoms of zika virus are very similar to Dengue.
Few more symptoms of the zika virus are rashes on face, neck and arms, and red eyes. The disease can be cured in 7-9 days.
