N95s Masks
In its newly released guidelines, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has urged people to use appropriately fitted N95 or KN95 masks as the best suitable measure for getting COVID-19 infection.
CDC has asked Americans to prefer prescribed masks instead of using masks made out of clothes. In the early stages of the pandemic, there was a supply shortage for masks which led to its priority usage diverted for healthcare workers.
However, since not everyone feels comfortable using masks, CDC stressed using any mask that fits well and is suitable to wear consistently. “Our main message continues to be that any mask is better than no mask,” said CDC Spokeswoman Kristen Nordlund on Friday.
President Biden’s administration has recently said that it will provide “high-quality” masks to Americans very soon. According to the Associate Press report, the American government has a stockpile of 750 million masks.
