Research conducted by the Case Western University and Brown University together in the US examined blood samples of 92 health care professionals and 120 nursing home residents.

The study conducted found that the COVID-19 antibodies produced by the Pfizer vaccination decreased more than 80% in senior nursing home residents and their care providers after getting their second vaccine shots.

The researchers specifically focused on humoral immunity, which is also known as antibody-mediated immunity, to calculate the body’s guard against the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.
