Coronavirus

The World Health Organization stated that the pandemic has not peaked in many countries and that it is still intensive, particularly in the United States. WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom said that he anticipates that next week, 10 million cases of coronavirus will be reached around the globe.

“This is a sober reminder that as we continue Research and Development into vaccines, we have an urgent responsibility to do everything we can with the tools we have now to suppress the infection,” he said.

In a media briefing, he also expressed support for the decision by Saudi Arabia to ban pilgrims outside of Saudi Arabia from doing Haj to prevent infection risks.

He added that WHO supports several countries to obtain oxygen concentrators so that COVID-19 patients can breathe easily.
