THINKMD, a healthcare technology company based in Burlington, got awarded $2.3 million from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, while raising another $4 million in a round of financials, putting it back on track for global expansion.
The company was founded by physicians Barry Finette and Barry Heath in 2015. It provides a medical intelligence platform based on smartphones, which allows those community healthcare workers who do not have medical training, to diagnose and treat children with sickness, and that also with high standards of efficacy. The novel technology is built to give improved healthcare access to children from third-world countries.
