US scientists have transformed the novel coronavirus’s protein structure into music in an effort to understand its pathogen. It transformation was undertaken under the leadership of Professor, Markus Buehler of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his team.
The team used artificial intelligence to transform the protein structure of SARS-Co V-2 . The researchers assigned each amino acid present in the virus a unique note and an algorithm converted these into music.
Prof. Buehler believes that the tune will offer a more intuitive way for people to understand the protein. The music composition runs nearly for 1 hour 50 minutes and is now available on the SoundCloud website.
Several SoundCloud listeners described the early parts of the composition as very soothing and beautiful.
