A Children’s Specialized Hospital affiliated with RWJBarnabas and Pinnacle Solutions, a data analytics firm have formed a partnership in order to create a Predictive Healthcare Solution. The affiliate of RWJBarnabas is Center for Discovery, Innovation and Development (CDID), which will initially tackle the patient no-show issue with the created software solution.
To predict the likelihood of patients turning up for their pre-scheduled appointments, it will combine traffic, weather, demographics, construction, clinic specialties, retention conditions along with electronic medical records, information and data like patient’s zip code and family demographics. Thus, the prediction model will make prompt and proactive functional improvements like sending an alert and reminder to the patients or offering a car or rental service so that patients no-show cases will be reduced.
