Atrial Fibrillation
For the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation (AF) of patients, Indian HealthTech leader Medtronics launched Arctic Front™, its new system of Cardiac Cryoablation Catheter. Cryoballoon catheter ablation is one of the therapeutic modalities’ techniques for AF, which is a procedure with minimal invasion.
The technique is designed for the blocking of electric signals which are not needed but keep traveling through the pulmonary veins (large blood carrying vessels from lungs to heart’s left atrium) and spreads to the atria (heart’s upper chamber). A refined technique of pulmonary veins isolation is used to target the connecting tissues of veins and atria and blocks the spread of electrical signals.
