‘Lice’ Drug a Plausible Solution to COVID-19?

While scientists and researchers are on their continuous endeavor to find a drug or cure to COVID-19, a group of Australian researchers have stated head lice drug as a possible treatment to kill the infection caused by the coronavirus. These researchers stated that this lice drug also known as Ivermectin can replace the replication of SARS-CoV-2; a virus that causes COVID-19.

The researchers also announced that a single dose of the drug could remove all the viral RNA by just 48 hours and will also reduce the replication of the virus in 24 hours. Though researchers have claimed a plausible chance of curing the COVID-19, the research is still in its initial stage and it is yet to be tested on the patients.
