Journey So Far

Vinod arrived in New York, USA in 1970 after coming from India. He received his undergraduate and graduate education in New York around the same time. In 1975, he started a healthcare company in Queens, New York, which provided multi-specialty medical services with the help of his brother. Despite facing numerous challenges while working as an Administrator, he observed his members’ needs and created an effective process to assist them. Through these experiences, he learned that it is essential to not only face difficult times but also to come out stronger in the end. Vinod says, “Tough times are inevitable in life and business. But how you compose yourself during those times defines your spirit and will define your future.”

After spending 37 years at the healthcare organization, Vinod realized the need to include additional modalities of the healthcare system and stay ahead of the industry. In his own words, “Healthcare was changing, and it was becoming difficult for consumers to receive care. Diversity in culture was making it more difficult.” Therefore, he decided to expand their services as a home care agency. In 2013, Tri-Med Home Care Services, Inc. received a full license from the NYS Department of Health to serve all boroughs of New York, including Nassau and Suffolk.”
