Can you please introduce yourself and describe your journey at Chanda Care?

My name is Chantal Bernard, and I have been a nurse for 15 years, with nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. I started Chanda Care, Inc. with the intention to help close gaps in healthcare disparities and provide a professional solution to home care that gives peace of mind to our clients, families, and communities. My journey at Chanda Care has been driven by my passion for nursing and my commitment to making a difference in people’s lives.

What can you tell us about Chanda Care and what inspired you to venture into the home care niche?

Chanda Care is a home care agency that provides a range of services to clients who require care in the comfort of their own homes or other residential settings such as assisted living and memory care units. Our mission is to provide high-quality, personalized care to our clients and their families, and to help them navigate the healthcare system with confidence. I was inspired to venture into the home care niche by the growing need for compassionate and reliable home care services, and by the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Could you elaborate on the services that Chanda Care provides and whether or not you offer complete continuum home care solutions to clients in need?

We offer a wide range of services at Chanda Care, including activities of daily living (ADL) care and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) care. Our goal is to provide complete continuum home care solutions to our clients in need, and we work closely with their families and healthcare providers to ensure that their needs are met.

What are Chanda Care’s unique selling points (USPs) that set it apart from other home care providers in the industry?

At Chanda Care, we provide a unique UPS by leveraging our knowledge of care coordination and healthcare navigation to help our clients and their families navigate the complex healthcare system with confidence. We believe that every client is unique and deserves individualized care that takes into account their physical, emotional, and social needs. We also stand out in the home care industry by providing exceptional customer service and by being responsive to the needs of our clients and their families.

What tools and tactics are utilized to best treat and support seniors who require emotional and behavioral care, and why is support essential for them?

Emotional and behavioral care is critical for seniors who require home care services. We use a range of tools and tactics to support our clients, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and art therapy. Support is essential for seniors because it helps them to maintain their sense of independence and dignity, while also addressing their emotional and behavioral needs.

What is your opinion on the alignment of home care with newer technological developments, especially when it comes to catering to the dynamic needs of seniors?

I believe strongly that technology is going to be revolutionary for in-home care, enabling us to close healthcare gaps and provide more efficient and effective care to our clients. We are exploring ways to incorporate telemedicine and other digital health solutions into our services to improve client outcomes and enhance the quality of care that we provide to our clients.

What research and development operations are Chanda Care currently conducting and why?

At present, we are developing opportunities in software that relates to care coordination, which will expand opportunities for other home care agencies to triage their clients through a system and allow them to give real-time resources to their clients. This is an exciting area of development for us as we seek to expand our reach and impact in the community.

What are some of the challenges that Chanda Care and other home care agencies are facing when conducting operations, and how do you turn them into opportunities for growth?

One of the challenges that Chanda Care and other home care agencies are facing is finding and retaining qualified staff who share our commitment to compassionate care. This is a common issue in the industry, and we are addressing it by offering competitive salaries, ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Another challenge is maintaining compliance with changing regulations and policies, but we turn this challenge into an opportunity by staying informed and up-to-date on the latest developments in the field.

Additionally, managing the costs associated with providing high-quality care can be a challenge, but we turn this into an opportunity by focusing on efficiency and using technology to streamline our operations. Overall, we see challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, and we are constantly seeking ways to improve our services and better serve our clients and their families.

How do you envision scaling your services and operations in 2023 and beyond?

In 2023 and beyond, we envision scaling our services and operations by expanding our reach and impact in the community, and by leveraging technology to provide more efficient and effective care to our clients. We plan to continue to develop new partnerships with healthcare providers and other stakeholders in the industry and explore new opportunities for growth and innovation. Ultimately, our goal is to be the leading home care agency in the region, known for providing compassionate and personalized care to our clients and their families.
