Vaccination update
The country managed to administer 81.76 lakh average daily doses, compared to August when the number was as high as 59.19 lakh. The total number of doses administered in the first three weeks of September stood at 17.99 crores compared to 18.35 crores in August.
The nation has successfully vaccinated two-thirds of its population with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination and almost a quarter of its population with both doses.
A home vaccination for people with disabilities and the elder population with restricted mobility has been approved by the Ministry of health and family welfare on Thursday.
